Ringland Psychology

Treatment for adults, children and families

“Where you stumble, there lies your treasure. The very cave you are afraid to enter turns out to be the source of what you are looking for.” - Joseph Campbell

Patrick Ringland

I am a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I am also a board-approved supervisor of other psychologists.

I am trained in a range of contemporary psychological interventions. I am committed to evidence-based practice, which means I work to combine the latest research with clinical judgement and client preferences.

I strive to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic environment for people to work through their difficulties. I am passionate about helping people to understand underlying causes, and ultimately to make changes to harmful patterns of feeling, behaving and relating to others. I am also interested in how the relationship between client and therapist can be used to explore and resolve interpersonal difficulties.

I am experienced in the treatment of a range of psychological concerns for both children and adults, with particular specialisation in the following:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Addictions

  • OCD

  • Adolescent mental health

  • Eating disorders

  • Family therapy

  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy
